The French Connection Wendy Ruffle Dress (as seen on Katherine Jenkins, the opera singer) is a knee length shift dress with spectacular ruffled sleeve detail and a defined waist. This dress fastens via a back zip. I have this dress, and the zip is a sturdy one, not a cheap plastic one that you worry might break. This dress was available for last season in black or ruby, and is available for this season in black, lavender and platinum grey.

Style note: The Wendy Ruffle dress is a lovely, glamorous dresses with a hint of elastane for the perfect fit. I like the Wendy Ruffle dress because those sleeves are just amazing, and I own my own version in black which I am wearing in the photo on the right. Just so you know, I am 5′ 2″ tall and the dress is a size 10, so you don’t have to be tall and stick thin to wear it, although clearly the dress looks a lot shorter on the models’ legs (above) than it looks on mine.
