my-wardrobe dress sale

my-wardrobe Dress Sale Now On!

Fans of designer dresses the whole world over need to get themselves over to the dress sale that’s currently taking place online. is a fantastic online store which sells premier everyday luxury designer fashions, and at the moment you can get discounts of up to 50% on a wide range of designer clothing and accessories.

Above, there are photos of my five favourite dresses that are in the sale. Here is what I think about them:

  1. This is the Milly Eva Rose Garden Dress. Milly is a New York designer whose dresses have become increasingly sort after this side of the water. She specialises in elegant dresses that can take you seamlessly from daywear through to evening wear and her designs are the epitome of ladylike chic.
  2. This is a rather fabulous full length pure silk gown from D&G. Originally retailing at over £1000, there is now 40% off the original price. This dress is one of those investment purchases of a lifetime.
  3. Now it’s time for a dress for a spot of kitsch fun, with Vivienne Westwood’s fabulous Dryad checked dress. Team this cute gingham dress with flats or heels for a great sunshine look.
  4. Wow, it’s hot in here! Check it out, the Alice by Temperley Sandrine leather dress. It’s fierce, it’s fashion, it’s hot and it’s now half price. What are you waiting for?
  5. Last but not least, I’ve chosen this gorgeous, pure silk one shouldered swing dress from Halston Heritage. In nude / blush pink, this is a colour that’s bang on trend at the moment, and the drape styling is very flattering to your figure.

Those are my favourites, I think. To be honest, there were so many lovely dresses to choose from I might pick a different five next time. Why don’t you get yourself along to the sale, and choose your own?

Going Out Look for Spring Summer 2011

Going Out Look for Spring Summer 2011, one of my favourite online designer stores and a fantastic place to find everyday luxury designer fashions for both men and women, is celebrating its 5th birthday.

To wish my-wardrobe a great big “Happy Birthday” from one of its biggest fans, I’ve put together a luxurious going out look using five items that can currently be found on the website, as can be seen in the photo above.

The centre piece of the outfit is the fabulous Elizabeth and James Maxi Dress. This maxi dress, which is made from pure silk, is pale grey in colour with a subtle print design. There is a long split at the front, to give everyone a glimpse of your fabulous legs, and the silk ruffle frills around the neckline and sleeves are very feminine. The buttons at the front look fabulous, but you don’t need to worry about fastening and unfastening them as the dress has a concealed side zip fastening – very thoughtful.

Of course, a dress like this needs a pair of vertiginous heels, and I have chosen the Pour La Victoire Metallic Irina Platforms in silver cracked leather.  The heels are so high but the high concealed platforms make them more comfortable. Keeping the silver theme going – as silver goes so beautifully with grey – the handbag I have chosen is the D&G Silver Sacha Metallic Bobble Clutch. This clutch is one of my favourites of the season anyway. I love the bobble effect from all the silver beads and the fact that I can attach the chain strap to wear it over my shoulder if I want to keep my hands free.

The choice of jewellery was a little more difficult as there are so many stunning designs around at the moment. However, I finally decided upon the Merle O’Grady Silver Crystal Curb Collar Necklace and the Iosselliani Multi Stack Silver Crystal Ring. The Merle O’Grady necklace because I love the combination of the heavy silver coloured curb chain and the differently shaped large, sparkling crystals, and the Iosselliani ring because it’s four rings in one – whilst the ring  looks fabulous with its various parts stacked together, you can rearrange them as you wish and wear them singly or combined.

All the items above were available from at the time of writing. is based in the UK but offers worldwide shipping.

my-wardrobe-website mandy at sketch launch party for my-wardrobe, one of the leading online retailers of designer clothing,  who specialise in “everyday luxury” in their clothing, shoes and accessories ranges, have relaunched their website and it is now full of fashion stories, expert interviews, lots of new editorial features and some amazing photographs and videos of the items which are available.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend the launch party at Sketch in London last Tuesday (22nd February), where I rubbed shoulders with the great and the good from the fashion world, met the CEO of my-wardrobe, Sarah Curran, (who is lovely) and drank far too much champagne. The event took place in a square room and the my-wardrobe website was projected onto the four walls, so you felt that you were actually inside the website. It was an amazing experience. That is me in the photo on the right, carrying a Vivienne Westwood Ebury Clutch in one hand, a my-wardrobe goodie bag in the other and wearing Michael by Michael Kors platform heels.

To celebrate the relaunch of the website, there have been 10 pieces exclusively created for my-wardrobe, by Preen Line, Bionda Castana, Mawi, Katia Lombardo, Anton Heunis, Ian R.N, Winter Kate, Zimmerman, Kite & Butterfly and Tom Ford Eye Wear.

In addition,  in March 2011, the “Designer Room” will open. The Designer Room will feature  Spring Summer 2011 collections from many of the world’s leading fashion designers.   New prestige brands being featured on my-wardrobe include  Preen Line, Mulberry Ready To Wear, Milly, Moschino Cheap & Chic, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Camilla Skovgaard and Bionda Castana. These designer brands will be sold alongside the existing collections from brands including D&G, Anya Hindmarch, Halston Heritage, Vivienne Westwood and Michael Kors, plus many, many more, making shopping for everyday luxury easier than ever.
