D&G Goddess Gown and Look for Summer 2011
Here is another of our occasional features where we put together a “look” for the new season, using some of the best designs around.
The centre piece of this look is the fabulously floral peony printed D&G Goddess Gown made from pure silk. This is an awesome gown, which features a cross over bust with ruching, a deep v back and a gorgeous silk self tie sash around the waist, which hangs down the back. The delicate peony flowers against a dusky nude pink background are the very essence of summer itself and breathe life into any occasion.
I decided to team the dress with the wonderful Pour La Victoire Jessie Wedges in pale camel. The D&G Goddess Gown is long, so unless you are particularly tall, it’s a good idea to have a bit of leg lengthening going on underneath it 
. Not only do these wedges add inches (or centimetres if you’re a metric girl) to your legs, they do so in the most comfortable way imagineable. The wide platform sole mitigates the height of the heel, and wedge heels provide a much broader base of support for the foot than a stiletto.
For accessories, I’ve decided to echo the dusky pink undertones of the dress and have chosen a series of items in rose gold to compliment the ensemble – the Michael Kors large rose gold chronograph watch, the Dannijo Rose Gold Ring and the gorgeous Halston Heritage Rose Gold Sequinned Jenny Clutch to add a dash of glamour. Of course, if you prefer you could go for yellow gold accessories as these too would look good. Personally speaking, I would be less enthusiastic about teaming the dress with silver accessories, as this dress has an aura of warmth which is best complimented with other warm metals.

D&G Men’s Leather Bomber Jacket in Dark Navy
This Dolce & Gabbana men’s leather jacket is a dark navy leather bomber style jacket with five zip pockets at the front and a central zip fastening. The zips are sturdy and the zip pulls are branded ‘D&G’. The jacket also has a zip fastening nylon hood. There is a stud fastening tab at the collar, the cuffs are zip fastening and the cuffs and waist have an elasticated leather inset for a snug fit.

D&G Floral Tiered Silk Gown in Violet
This Dolce & Gabbana silk gown is a long, strappy dress with a sweet heart neckline and deep square back. An offer the shoulder design with frilled trim around the neckline, it features an all over violet floral printed design and tiered skirt, with frill detail to the tiers and hemline.

Dolce & Gabbana Yellow Lace Dress
This D & G dress is a sleeveless, black organza dress with an underlay of fluorescent yellow lace, which echoes the designs incorporating fluorescent lace that have been illuminating the catwalks in recent weeks. This dress is sheer above the chest to both the front and back and has a grosgrain waistband. The dress is above the knee with a round neck and has a statement exposed zip fastening down the centre back. There is a vent in the back of the skirt.

Dolce & Gabbana Black Corset Dress
The D & G Corset Dress is a pleated dress with optional straps and an exposed back zip fastening in silver-tone. The dress has a built in corset which is fully boned and complete with underwired bra cups, so you definitely don’t need to wear a bra with this dress!
There is a black grosgrain ribbon belt around the waist that has a bow at the front, and the waist is fitted. There are two pockets to the side at the hips and the dress is fully lined.

Style note: D&G know a thing or two about little black dresses, and I particularly like this one because of the built in bra support. I think more dresses should have built in corsetry because, to be honest, how many of us are happy going without a bra? D&G Mimosa Dress
This Dolce & Mimosa Print Dress is a strappy mimosa floral print dress with mesh trim to the front and back of the bodice. The bodice is boned and is very supportive, featuring built in under wired bra cups so you don’t need to wear a separate bra with this dress.
